About Kirk Robbins
Kirk has 30+ years of experience in organizational finance roles and been a member of executive leadership teams responsible for strategic planning. Kirk has filled multiple financial roles as a corporate and division CFO, VP of Finance, and controller for companies with revenues between $10 million to $2 billion. An entrepreneur and owner of an accounting services firm, with direct responsibility for strategic planning, marketing, and planning the exit strategy. In addition to financial roles, Kirk has also served as a committee chair for regulatory compliance, ethics program director, and led multiple business process redesign efforts.
Kirk has a wide range of financial experience in several industries, including information technology, government procurement, real estate development and brokerage, medical billing, and manufacturing. Many of these companies had multiple divisions and locations, both domestic and global. To support multi-location operations, he developed distributed accounting and finance processes, business intelligence functions, and dashboard reporting tools to ensure executives and key managers had constant access to real-team financial results. He also managed finance and accounting teams with a staff of more than 50 people.
Kirk has significant merger and acquisition experience as the financial manager of multiple buy and sell-side transactions. Kirk has managed divestiture planning and several post-acquisition integration, which involve integrating business systems, business processes, and operations. The business integration process also included personnel training and acclimation to new corporate cultures.
Kirk has an extensive technology background as a result of spending 15 years with information technology companies. He had direct responsibility and involvement in the acquisition and implementation of multiple accounting, finance, and business intelligence systems. The primary objectives for systems implemented was to ensure business operations and operating policies were built into system process flows; thus providing cost efficiencies and timely reporting. Financial planning systems implemented focused on facilitating budgeting and analysis functions, and external reporting to public markets, lenders, stakeholders, and partners.
Kirk has a BBA in Finance and an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix and is a Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer. He is a member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business Administration, Financial Executives Networking Group, Defense Industry Initiative on Business Ethics, and received a Navy Achievement Medal while serving in the U.S. Marines.
