About Ed Cordell
Ed is a senior financial executive with over 30 years of financial management experience. His industry background includes electronics manufacturing and distribution, life science, and medical device technologies. Ed has worked with public companies, non-profit as well as private equity and venture capital owned companies.
Ed is a versatile financial leader accomplished in financial strategy and operational execution with enterprise-wide perspective and experience to include mergers and divestitures, business planning, risk management, information strategies, and financial modeling. Ed’s experience in fast-growth companies where he focused on improving operations through achievements in finance management, cost control, internal controls and compliance. Known for developing and inspiring high performing, multi-cultural teams, effectively partnering with business leaders, and sponsoring change.
Ed earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He began his career in public accounting in Chattanooga and soon moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked with Grant Thornton and audited a wide range of clients. Ed and his wife Lisa live in the suburbs of Atlanta and have two grown children and four grandchildren.
